Sammydress: UPDATED What's In my Makeup Bag?

To all the people who invented makeup, I owe you big! Makeup is one of the essential things that is on a girls bag. I am guilty of living my life putting on some makeup every time I go out or if I have events on a weekdays. Well, I don't have a huge makeup collection and most of the makeup I used are drugstore and local brands. I also don't have a talent in makeup because I only do one makeup look but this might interest you on what's in my makeup bag, the updated version. You can read my first post on what's in my makeup bag so you can see the makeup products when I am just starting to explore the makeup world, warning: it is so basic! *Haha*

Primer, Foundation and Powder

Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser

This is a great primer and doing a great job as primer but it is not erasing my pore. Still finding a great primer as an alternative.

My face is so dry lately and this product is a perfect one for me. It covers your blemishes and moisturized your face at the same time. I have a review on this, you can check it out here

White Superfresh Powder Foundation (refill)

This is my holy grail and been using this since it came out. It matty-fies my face longer than the other powder I've used in the past plus it has SPF 34. I always buy the refill because it is cheaper and more compact. Got mine at BeautyMNL sale.

Blush, Highlighter and Contour Powder

Nivea Blush that I got in Dubai, *sorry I don't know if it is available in PH* it gives me the most natural blush effect.

Nichido Contour Pallette
SM Dept. Store

This is a new product I am testing out, so far so good. I need to take a break on my LOL Contour to give chance to this new product. I only used the contour part becuase I bought it for the contour powder only. I hope they make an individual product for the contour powder only.

Shawill Terra Cotta Blusher
SM Dept. Store

I love this as a highlighter not as a blusher and it is doing a great job for me. Not as good as the HBC's Allue Blusher *discontinued product line from HBC* though.

Lip Treatment/Balm and Tint

Vaseline Lip Treatment

The best lip treatment I've used so far, it saved my lips last December. I highly highly recommending it to all have dry lips. It has no scent or sensation (like the Carmex) what so ever which I really like in a product. Simple and effective. Got this on sale at BeautyMNL.

The Faceshop Watery Tint

I am still in love with Ever Bilena Magic Liptint and still using it. This is a gift from a friend and it is the tint that is perfect for ombre lips better than the Ever Bilena. Since it has a watery consistency you can build the tint easier.

Brow Pencil

Oops, forgot to take a photo but it is the pink pencil like in the flatlay. This is the Daiso brow pencil, cheap and a good product. Still want to try other brow products.

from Sammydress

OMG so cute right? I have been eyeing this for quite some time now and finally got it! It is soft and really a great tool for beginners. You will have the basic tools that you need in your makeup bag.

This is like the sponge from the BB Cushion Foundation, soft and make the foundation more flawless!

Bonus Tip!
How to slay your flatlay as a beginner!

Flatlay is a photo of things that are shoot on "birds-eye", you need to shoot it above parallel to the product and yes it is kinda tricky. What I always do is I lay my products on the floor so it is easier rather that in a table and stand in a stool. What yo need: a good light, products, background and your camera.
In this flatlay, I want it to look like that the products are came out to the bag so I arrange it accordingly just like I wanted it to be. To add more texture I added this two pillow case, well I just follow my intuition here.

Next is a more clean, minimal and organized. Flatlays are also depends on your aesthetics, as a beginner I think I need more practice. If you have any helpful tips, please let me know! I want to learn more and more.
