Mt. Pinatubo Via 4x4 - Qing Travels

I can still remember the day when my grandparents are telling the stories of how was life when the Mt. Pinatubo erupted in 1991. Living in Pampanga, I have the privilege to meet many people who have experienced what was like to be affected by the disaster of Mt. Pinatubo. In my childhood, I can still remember that there were falling ashes and seeing just roofs of houses and buildings along the road of Bacolor, Pampanga whenever we travel to Lubao. It was like a museum to my 5 yrs old self, I was so fascinated with the stories that I heard a thousand times. It may bring a disaster in the past but today Mt. Pinatubo is bringing us her beauty while she's sleeping.

Mt. Pinatubo is located in the tripoint boundary of Pampanga, Zambales, and Tarlac. This province has been a gateway to the Mt. Pinatubo and you can reach the crater lake through the Capas, Tarlac trail via 4X4. If you want to visit the crater lake of Mt. Pinatubo there is a tour organizer in Tarlac that is under DOT and they will help you on your Mt. Pinatubo adventure.

How to get to jump off point?
There are two ways, either you bring your own car or commute. If you bring your own car, you can find it on Waze and google maps. For the commute, ride a bus/jeepney going to Capas, Tarlac and alight in front of Mcdo and ride a tricycle going to Brgy. Sta. Juliana (tricycle drivers knows the jump-off point).

Once you arrived in the jump-off point proceed to the information desk to pay for the remaining bills and will give you receipts for 4x4. Here are the rate and contact number for the tour.

All in all, for me Mt. Pinatubo should not be missed because of the beauty you will see. I can't deny that this active volcano that caused disaster has turned into such beauty.
